Growing Up

I asked Blake what he wanted to be when he grew up. We've never discussed this topic before, so I didn't know what he would say.

His answer: "a piggie"

I tried to redirect him. I said - "No....like a policeman or a fireman - what do you want to be when you grow up?"

His next answer: "a cow"

At least he's moving up, a little, on the food chain.

My redirection continued. "You know...Daddy is a computer man and now he's a daddy. Mommy was an accountant and now she's a mommy..."

His response: "I wannna be a counter too".

So, my son wants to be a "counter" (sounds like more fun than an accountant anyhow) if the piggie thing doesn't pan out for him.

Makes a Mommy proud!
